Between 07:30 – 08:00, your guide picks you up from your hotel in District 1. Start the day with a visit to Independence Palace (Reunification Palace), an important symbol of Vietnam’s reunification and a fascinating time capsule of 1960s architecture and design.

Continue to two of Saigon’s most famous French colonial landmarks:

Notre Dame Cathedral (outside visit – the interior is often under renovation)

Central Post Office, with its beautiful vaulted ceilings and old maps

Finish the morning at the War Remnants Museum, where powerful exhibitions help you understand Vietnam’s recent history and the impact of the wars on everyday people.

Around 12:00, you are dropped back at your hotel or at the original meeting point.

Head to Cholon (Chinatown), wandering through busy streets, traditional shophouses, and colorful markets. Visit Thien Hau Pagoda, dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea, and admire its incense coils and detailed ceramic decorations.
